artificial intelligence

How will your game incorporate "artificial intelligence"? Will you use these skills for other parts of your game (such as NPCs, or non-playable characters)?

one of the boxers will detect when the player does not get a hit

platforms

 Will your game require multi-leveled platforms? Will there be punitive damage inflicted on your hero if he doesn't stay on the platforms (fall to death, lose heath - Mario Bros. or Contra). Will your some of your platforms be destroyable (like bricks in Mario Bros.)?

No the game does not have a multi level platforms

running and jumping

 Will your hero need the ability to jump in your game? If so, why? Is this a means of escaping/destroying obstacles (like Mario Bros.), because your game is a vertical scroller (instead of a side scroller), etc?

yes, in the health part of the boxing game. the boxer will jump rump in a training level
